Onitsha Business Hangout: Students Embark on Exciting Industrial Tour
On September 19, 2024, students of Onitsha Business School, Class of Industrial Skill Acquisition and Application Centre (ISAAC), embarked on an exciting excursion to visit two manufacturing companies in commemoration of the Onitsha Business Hangout 3.0 theme, “Defying Succession.” The companies visited were Cutix Cable Plc and Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company
Cutix Cable Plc: A Household Name in Cable Manufacturing.
Cutix Cable Plc is a renowned cable manufacturing company that produces a wide range of cables. As a household name, they not only cater to the local market but also engage in exports. Interestingly, they are the only company in the South East of Nigeria listed in the Nigerian Stock Exchange. During the visit, the management of Cutix Cable sat down with the students, explaining the company’s activities and trading processes. They were impressed by the students’ strategic questions and emphasized that the company’s vision lies in the rules and regulations that workers must abide by.
Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company: Where Innovation Meets
The second host was Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company, a pioneer in the manufacturing of PMS, CNG, and Electric powered vehicles. They cater to both government and individual clients, customizing vehicles according to specifications. Their vehicles are also exported to countries of interest. The students were fascinated by the vehicle manufacturing processes, witnessing the attention to detail and accuracy that goes into producing each vehicle. It was also inspiring to see women involved in the manufacturing process.
